CHILLIN' MADE EASY
STEP 1
Fill the molds with cool water 1/2 inch below the fill line (the mold will expand a little as it fills with water). Put on the lid to secure.
STEP 2
Freeze for 24-36 hours to ensure the blocks are fully frozen. Time to clear out all of your 6 month old veggie bags, frozen pizzas, and ice cream tubs (we see you)!
STEP 3
Remove lid. Pour hot water over the edges of mold for 5-10 seconds. Flip mold upside down and PLOP those blocks your tub.
STEP 4
FREEZE YOUR A** OFF!
TIPS AND TRICKS
Breathwork Beforehand
Doing breathwork before you plunge warms your body and helps better prepare you for cold submersion
Take 30 deep breaths in
On your final breath, exhale out fully, then hold your breath for as long as you can
Once you can’t hold it in anymore, inhale deeply and hold for another 15 seconds
REPEAT 2 more times
3-5 Minutes for Best Results
If you’re a beginner, aim for 1-2 minutes to start
Try to extend your time little by little every plunge
3-5 minutes is the sweet spot for best results
Experienced plungers can go up to 10 or 15 minutes
Plunge Before You Workout instead of After
Plunging right after your workout can hurt your gains after a good workout
It’s best to plunge before a hard workout
If you do it after, make sure it's 4 hours after you exercise. Otherwise you stunt the benefits of your workout
The more cubes you get, the colder your plunge
50-60° Fahrenheit water temperature is all ya need, although you can go all the way down to 39° and be ok
